Читаємо про дівчинку Лізі, з якою ми познайомилися на минулих уроках. Все, що ми зустрічали у віршику (впр.2) або у діалозі (впр.4), є у тексті. Якщо ви гарно працювали над попереднім матеріалом, то Вам легко буде читати текст.

Ex.7  Read and say when the girl is very good and when she is horrid. (Прочитай і скажи, коли дівчинка гарна, а коли жахлива.)

                                    A Little Girl with a Little Curl  

                             (Маленька дівчинка з маленьким завитком)

 I know Lizzy, a little girl. She is very good-looking. She is grey-eyed and dark-haired. She has got a little curl right in the middle of her forehead.

 Lizzy is a good little girl. She listens to her mother most of the time. When she is good, she is very, very good. She helps her mum about the house and looks after her toys. Then her mother says to her, “Good girl!”

 Sometimes Lizzy is naughty. She doesn’t listen to her mother. She doesn’t want to read. She doesn’t’ want to write. She cries and shouts. Then her mum says to her, “Behave yourself!”

 Я знаю Лізі, маленьку дівчинку. Вона дуже симпатична. Вона сіроока і темноволоса. У неї маленький завиток прямо посередині чола.

 Лізі – гарна маленька дівчинка. Вона переважно слухає маму. Коли вона гарна, вона дуже, дуже гарна. Вона допомагає мамі по дому і доглядає за своїми іграшками. Потім мама каже їй: «Гарна дівчинка!»

 Інколи Лізі неслухняна. Вона не слухає маму. Вона не хоче читати. Вона не хоче писати. Вона плаче і кричить.  Тоді мама каже їй: «Поводься пристойно!»

Ex.8. True or False? (Правильно чи неправильно?)

1. Lizzy is fair-haired. – False - She is dark-haired.

2. She always listens to her mother. - False - She listens to her mother most of the     time.

3. Sometimes Lizzy is bad. - True

4. She doesn’t want to learn. - True

5. Lizzy is a pretty girl. - True

Ex.9. Talk with friends about yourself. (Поговори з друзями про себе)

My name is Andrew. I am eight years old. I am fair-haired and blue-eyed. I often help mу mum about the house and look after mу toys. І listen to mу mother most of the time. Sometimes І аm naughty. Then my mum says to me, “Behave yourself!”

Ex.10. Write about yourself in your family album. (Напиши про себе у сімейному альбомі)

Your name? (Твоє ім’я) -  My name is Andrew.

Your age? (Твій вік) - I am eight years old.

Your looks? (Як виглядаєш) - I am fair-haired and blue-eyed.

Your likes? (Що любиш) - I like to play games.

Your character? (Який характер) - I'm kind and clever.
