THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Bob: I say, Oksana, I have got a letter from home.There is a photo of our flat in England. Do you want to look at it?
Oksana: I’d love to. Does my flat differ from yours?
Bob: I think it does. Look! There are some rooms and a kitchen on the ground floor, and there are some rooms upstairs.
Oksana: Is your room upstairs or downstairs?
Bob: All bedrooms are upstairs in English houses. There is a dining room and a kitchen downstairs. We like to gather in the dining room to talk or watch TV. Is the dining room also the biggest room in your flat?
Oksana: Far from it. A sitting room is the biggest room.We receive our guests there and celebrate family holidays.
Bob: Look! And this is our sitting room. It is smaller than the dining room, but there is a fireplace. It makes the sitting room cosy.
Oksana: We’ve got a fireplace in our summer cottage. I like to sit near the fireplace and dream. By the way, we can go to our summer cottage next Sunday together. I bet it will remind you of your English house and the fireplace.
Bob: That’s a good idea. There’s no place like home, you know.

Боб: Я думаю, так. Подивіться! На першому поверсі є кілька кімнат з кухнею, і нагорі є декілька кімнат.
Оксана: Твоя кімната нагорі або внизу?
Боб: Всі спальні розташовані нагорі (на другому поверсі) в англійських будинках. Внизу є їдальня та кухня. Ми любимо збиратися в їдальні, щоб поговорити або подивитися телевізор. Чи їдальня також є найбільшою кімнатою в вашій квартирі?
Оксана: Зовсім ні. (Далеко від цього.) Вітальня - найбільша кімната. Ми приймаємо гостей там і святкуємо сімейний свята.
Боб: Подивись! А це наша вітальня. Вона менша, ніж їдальня, але є камін. Він робить вітальню затишною.
Оксана: У нашому літньому котеджі є камін. Я люблю сидіти біля каміна і мріяти. До речі, ми можемо поїхати (піти) на нашу дачу наступної неділі разом. Впевнена, це буде нагадувати тобі про ваш англійський будинок і камін.
Боб: Це гарна ідея. Немає кращого місця, ніж дім, як ти знаєш.

This dining room differs from the sitting room. The dining room is cosy and the sitting room is comfortable.

There are some flowers in the sitting room.
Зверніть увагу на вживання слова some, яке перекладається деяка кількість, декілька і вживається у стверджувальних реченнях.

I live in a three-room flat. The sitting room is the biggest in our flat. It is cosy and comfortablе. It is smaller than the dining room, but there is a fireplace. It makes the sitting room cosy. We like to gather there to talk or watch TV. We receive our guests and celebrate family holidays in this room.
