                      HOME, SWEET HOME

 Hi, my name is Darynka. I live in a village, in a typical Ukrainian khata, as you see. It’s a small house with a lot of beautiful flowers and fruit trees around. You can see a bench under an apple tree. It’s my favourite place in summer. I like sitting and reading there when it is very hot.

 Let’s go inside the house. There is a hall, a kitchen and three rooms there. In the sitting room there is a corner of honour. On the walls you can see the icons with embroidered towels and flowers. There are also many flower pots on the windows. They make our khata look cosy. You can also see hand-made carpets on the floor. My granny has made them and my granddad has made that big wooden table, the one near the window. I am proud of my grandparents and our Ukrainian khata. It is my sweet home and I feel comfortable there.

                                      Дім, милий дім

 Привіт, мене звати Даринка. Я живу в селі, в типовій українській  хаті, як бачиш. Це невеликий будиночок з великою кількістю красивих квітів та фруктових дерев навколо. Ти можеш бачити  лавку під яблунею. Це моє улюблене місце влітку. Мені подобається сидіти і читати, коли дуже спекотно.

 Давай підемо всередину будинку. Там є хол, кухня і три кімнати. У вітальні є почесний куточок. На стінах можна побачити ікони з вишитими рушниками та квітами. Також на вікнах є багато квіткових горщиків. Вони роблять нашу хату затишною. Ви також можете побачити килими ручної роботи на підлозі. Моя бабуся зробила їх, а мій дідусь зробив той великий дерев'яний стіл, той, що біля вікна. Я пишаюся моїми бабусею та дідусем та нашою українською хатою. Це мій милий дім, і я почуваю себе комфортно там.
