Learn to talk about the secrets of plant life 

(Вчимося говорити про таємниці життя рослин)

Ми почали розкривати секрети природи, розмовляли про повітря та  воду. Настала черга розпочати бесіду про рослини. Вчимо слова на сайті!

Word Box  to participate (брати участь), soil (грунт), seed (насіння),  to sprinkle (бризкати), to harvest (збирати врожай), weed (бур'ян, прополювати) crop (врожай)

Phrase Box window garden (віконний сад), windowsill (підвіконня), to take turns (по черзі), to plant lettuce/radish/ carrot seeds (посадити насіння салату /редьки /моркви), to give a sense of pride and discipline (дати почуття гордості та дисципліни)

Communication Box I’ve never heard of it! (Я ніколи не чув про це!) … , in no time at all. (…, в найкоротший термін.)  You can count on me. (Ви можете розраховувати на мене.)

Ex. 1. Look and say what plants you can see. 

(Подивися і скажи, які рослини ти можеш побачити.)

         I can see the trees in the forest.

         I can see the bushes in the forest.

         I can see the crop in the field.

         I can see the flowers in the field.

         I can see the grass near the field.

         I can see the field in the picture.

Ex. 2. Listen and learn. Say what plants you know. 

      (Послухай і вивчи. Скажи, які рослини ти знаєш.)

        1. Said the tree, “Hey, climb me!”

        2. Said the flower, “I need a shower!”

        3. Said the bush, “Don’t push.”

        4. Said the grass, “Pass, pass!”

        5. Said the bean, “Let’s begin.”

        6. Said the crop, “Don’t stop.”

        7. Said the cactus, “Shall we practise?”

        8. Said the weed, “Yes, indeed.”

                   1. Сказало дерево, "Агов, піднімайся на мене!"

                   2. Квітка сказала: "Мені потрібний душ!"

                   3. Сказав кущ, "Не штовхай."

                   4. Сказала трава, "Проходьте, проходьте!"

                   5. Сказала квасоля: "Давайте почнемо".

                   6. Сказав врожай:"Не зупиняйтеся".

                   7. Кактус сказав: "Чи треба нам практикуватися?"

                   8. Сказав бур'ян: "Так, дійсно".

Ex. 3. Look, match and say how the children are growing their own vegetables.

           (Подивися, підбери і скажи, як діти вирощують свої овочі.)

           The boy is painting a window box.

           The girl is harvesting food/crops.

           The boy is putting rich brown soil into the box.

           The boy is planting seeds.

Ex. 4. Think and say: (Подумай і скажи)

• if it is fun growing and harvesting your own food;

   (чи весело вирощувати і збирати власну їжу;)

• where you can grow your own vegetables; 

   (де можна вирощувати власні овочі;)

• what seeds you have planted. 

   (які насіння ви посадили.)

E x a m p l e: I think it is fun growing and harvesting your own food. I can grow my own vegetables in my grandma’s garden. I have planted lettuce seeds.

Я думаю, що весело вирощувати і збирати власну їжу. Я можу вирощувати власні овочі в садочку моєї бабусі. Я посадив насіння салату.
