Tom ’s Room
I’m Andrew. I have an English friend. His name is Tom. I spent my last summer holidays at his place and I liked it a lot. Tom’s family has a big one-storeyed house. There is a nice green garden around it. In the middle of the garden there are some flowerbeds with beautiful roses. English people are so fond of gardening, you know. Every member of the family has his/her own room.
Tom’s room is on the left. There is not much furniture in it: two beds, a writing table with a lamp on it and a bookcase full of books. Tom is interested in sports. There are many pictures of famous English athletes on the walls of his room. He likes football and David Beckham is his favourite footballer. There is a big poster with the athlete on the door of Tom’s room. Near the window there is a big football board game and we often played it in rainy weather. But when the weather was sunny we played football with Tom and his dad in the yard. As you see, there is much place to play everywhere. This is what I like most.

Я Андрій. У мене є англійський друг. Його звуть Том. Я провів свої минулі літні канікули у його місці, і мені це дуже сподобалося. Сім'я Тома має великий одноповерховий будинок. Навколо нього є гарний зелений сад. Посередині саду є клумби з красивими трояндами. Англійці дуже люблять садівництво, як ти знаєш. Кожен член сім'ї має свою власну кімнату.
Кімната Тома ліворуч. В ній не так багато меблів: два ліжка, письмовий стіл з лампою на ньому і книжкова шафа, повна книг. Том захоплюється спортом. На стінах його кімнати є багато фотографій відомих англійських спортсменів. Він любить футбол, і Девід Бекхем - його улюблений футболіст. На дверях кімнати Тома є великий плакат зі спортсменом. Поруч з вікном є велика футбольна настільна гра, і ми часто грали в неї в дощову погоду. Але коли погода була сонячна, ми грали у футбол з Томом і його батьком у дворі. Як ти бачиш, є багато місця, щоб грати скрізь. Це те, що мені подобається найбільше.
