                                           Let ’s Have a Picnic

Spring has come to the USA. Many interesting holidays have come with it. Many children enjoy Easter. They can eat many tasty things and they don’t go to school. Who doesn’t like cosy Easter holidays? It’s time for friends, games and hobbies. Then comes Mother’s Day. It’s a popular holiday in the USA. On this day children try to be especially good. They present their mums with flowers and handmade gifts. But what they adore most of all is a family picnic. It’s the first time they go picnicking in spring. Sometimes many relatives and friends go picnicking together. The children surprise their parents with races. A three-legged race is a favourite race with many of them. It’s a funny race and there are winners or losers. Have you ever had such a race? Then try, I’m sure you’ll like it.

                                      Давайте влаштуємо пікнік

Весна прийшла у США. Багато цікавих свят прийшли з нею. Багато дітей люблять Великдень. Вони можуть їсти багато смачних речей, і вони не ходять до школи. Хто не любить затишні Великодні свята? Це час для друзів, ігри і захоплень. Потім настає День Матері. Це популярне свято в США. В цей день діти намагаються бути особливо гарними. Вони дарують (презентують) своїм мамам квіти і подарунки, зроблені власноруч. Але те, що вони обожнюють найбільше - це сімейний пікнік. Це перший раз, коли вони йдуть на пікнік навесні. Іноді багато родичів та друзів відправляються на пікнік разом. Діти дивують своїх батьків змаганнями (перегонами). Гонка на трьох ногах - це улюблена гонка у багатьох з них. Це цікава гонка, і є переможці чи переможені. Чи були у Вас такі гонки? Спробуйте, я впевнений, вам сподобається.

1. Why do American children like Easter? - American children like Easter because they can     eat many tasty  things and they don’t go to school.

2. What do American children do on Mother’s Day? -  American children present their             mums with flowers and handmade gifts, go picnicking and surprise their parents with         races on Mother’s Day?

3. They enjoy picnicking in spring, don’t they? – Yes, they do. They enjoy picnicking in           spring.

4. When can they have a three-legged race? - They can have a three-legged race on               Mother’s Day.

5. There are no losers on a three-legged race, are there? - Yes, there are. There are             winners and losers on a three-legged race.

In spring Americans celebrate Easter and Mother’s Day. Egg hunt is an interesting Easter tradition. Children adore Easter because they can eat many tasty things and they don’t go to school. When Mother’s day comes children try to be especially good. They present their mums with flowers and handmade gifts. As a rule, they give them holiday concerts. Most of all children like to go picnicking in spring. They surprise their parents with races. A three-legged race is a favourite race with many of them. It’s a funny race and there are winners or losers.
